For 15 years the sports car trip fulfills dreams

On Saturday, June 23rd, PALFINGER – in cooperation with the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid – again welcomed many children and their families to the Bergheim headquarters. Already for the 15th time, we organized a number of sports cars and attractions to reach our goal: to bring a smile to every child’s face and to give everyone a nice day.

15 YEARS = 15 STATIONS OF FUN

1. Photo box

D’Fotobox is a photo box that came in the form of a small Italian Ape-speedster. Many funny photos were taken and there was a lot of laughter.

2. Bouncy castle

Bounce, Bounce, Bounce. Bouncy castles will probably never belong to the past. This attraction again enjoyed many visitors from the little guest – from time to time from taller guests as well ;-)

3. Climbing tower

It went high up at the climbing tower. For some too high, but many small climbers still conquered the climbing tower without flinching.

4. Balloons, soap bubbles & a clown

Of course, the clown should not be missing. Clown Pedro was not only really funny, but he could also conjure balloon figures and let huge soap bubbles rise.

5. VR glasses

The future is digitalization and at PALFINGER this means, among other things: VR glasses. Everyone could have a look into the digital future and be an artist while digitally “painting”.

6. Driving School

With bobby cars the children were able to learn how to drive like grown-up. In a playful way the learned driving rules. The children were rewarded with a driver’s license.

7. Penalty shooting with EC Red Bull Salzburg

Playing with the pros? The dream came true! Ice hockey professionals Mario Huber and Daniel Jakubitzka helped the children to make the right shot in a penalty shootout.

8. Face painting

How about a butterfly painted in the face? Yes, please! Almost every child and many adults made sure not to miss this fun.

9. Police dog

Another highlight was the dog show in the morning. With his black sheep dog, the police service dog handler from Bergheim demonstrated what a police dog learns in training.

10. Forklift

Also this year, a PALFINGER product could be experienced up closely: the truck-mounted forklift. Technology simply always fascinates and many marveled at the product live in action.

11. Police car

The police of Bergheim also took part in the sports car trip and showed the curious children everything about a police car. Da-da-da-da!

12. Dream cars: spoiled for choice

Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar and many more! Red, black, green, blue, white, orange, silver. No matter what shape, size, volume. 60+ sports cars were there and the children were amazed of their sight. However, the most difficult task of the day was to choose their favourite sports car for the upcoming trip.

13. Check delivery & gift acceptance

This year, Hubert Palfinger Jun. (Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Hannes Palfinger (2nd Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Andreas Klauser (CEO) and Felix Strohbichler (CFO) handed over a donation check in the amount of 25,000 Euro to Heide Janik, Chairwomen of the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid. Artistic masterpieces were also submitted again. All the little guests, who swung their brushes, got a gift for their works.

14. Sports car trips

After a lunch break provided by the PALFINGER kitchen, the main attraction of the day started. The dream cars including the children drove a good hour through the nice countryside of Mondsee and really enjoyed the ride.

15. Adventure Park Fantasiana

The destination of this year’s trip was the adventure park Fantasiana in Straßwalchen. 7 attractions offered the children even more fun and enjoyment in a yet already eventful day: Palace Courtyard, Mushroom Village, Africa Orient, Fairy Tale Forest, Western, Action, Dino Adventures.

THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED!

Without the numerous volunteers and sponsors, we would not be able to organize such a great event in favor of the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid! Sincerely, we would like to thank the numerous colleagues who once again volunteered and helped to give a smile to cancer children and their families!

In addition, of course a big thank you to the sponsors of the event, without whom this children’s programme would not have been so nice!
