And the ASRA 2016 goes to … PALFINGER!

The Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award honors the best sustainability reports of Austrian companies. For the third time in a row, PALFINGER won the first place in the category “Integrated Business and Sustainability Report”.

PALFINGER and its Oscars

PALFINGER has published its first sustainability report for the fiscal year 2003/2004. In 2006, we were already awarded with the third place in the ASRA Award for our second sustainability report. Further “Oscars” followed in the years 2008, 2010, 2012 with the first place in the category “Sustainability Reporting of Large Companies”.

Since the 2013 financial year, PALFINGER has reported in the form of an Integrated Annual Report. Thereby, we combine our essential economic, ecological and social aspects. For two times already we received the first place in the category of “Integrated Business and Sustainability Report”. All the more we are proud to hold the ASRA 2016 in our hands – for the third time a in row in this particular category.

We would like to thank all the helping hands who have prepared the report in many months of work, as well as PALFINGER itself. Without the active responsibility and commitment for the four sustainability aspects of “Responsible Employer”, “Eco-efficient Production”, “Sustainable Products” and “Fair Business” we would have nothing to report about and therefore nothing to win.

The Oscar of Sustainability Reporting in Austria

Since 1999, the ASRA sustainability prize has been awarded annually by the Chamber of Public Accountants, together with cooperation partners, including respACT. The “Oscar of Austrian Sustainability Reporting” is awarded in the following categories:

  • Sustainability Report of Large Companies
  • Integrated Business and Sustainability Report
  • Sustainability Report of Small and Medium-sized Companies (under 250 employees)
  • Sustainability Report of Non-Profit Organizations
  • GRI Initial Report

The criteria catalog for the evaluation tool consists of four aspects: vision, strategy and materiality; sustainability process in the company; principles of reporting; performance. The sustainability reporting offers companies, which are economically successful, as well as ecologically and socially responsible, the opportunity to present their activities to the general public.
