NEW VISION SUPPORTS EXPANSION OF GLOBAL MARKET LEADERSHIP
The most fundamental change made in 2017 was the development of a new vision and expanded strategy for our PALFINGER Group. On the basis of our time-tested strategic pillars of innovation, internationalization and flexibility, we have defined a new, supplementary pillar: PALFINGER 21st.

PALFINGER continued its growth in 2017
In 2017, the PALFINGER Group once again succeeded in increasing its revenue, achieving a record figure for the seventh time in succession: Revenue increased by 8.4 per cent to a new high of EUR 1,471.1 million. Operating profitability, with an EBITDAn margin of 12.6 per cent, which is satisfactory – given the negative impact of one-time effects. In the recent years (20 acquisitions and newly established joint ventures since 2010), EBIT rose as well, reaching the highest figure in the Company’s history: EUR 110.2 million. This proves that we are headed in the right direction.
Positive outlook for 2018
We are optimistic that in 2018 we want to increase revenue and earnings, even though there is uncertainty about some framework conditions, for instance, political developments. The level of incoming orders was high at the end of 2017 and in January 2018, and experts have confirmed our positive expectations for the global economic trend. We are well prepared for the challenges that are headed our way.
