In August, 2014 PALFINGER AG and OJSC KAMAZ established two joint venture companies in Russia. KAMAZ is Russia’s largest truck producer ranking 11th among the world’s top heavy truck manufacturers.
We are acting as one of this year’s sponsors of the KAMAZ master team, which attends the 2019 Dakar Rally. The team won the transcontinental super marathon “Dakar” fifteen-times, marked by the highest category of complexity. The KAMAZ master team was founded in 1988. In 2018 the team celebrates its 30th anniversary. It is the only factory team in Russia, which is successfully presenting its country in a world motorsport.
This year’s KAMAZ master team crews on the 2019 Dakar Rally:

About the Dakar
The Dakar is the biggest adventure in rally sport.
Under the slogan “Two Weeks of Sand” Peru wants to be the host country of the 2019 race. Consisting of 10 stages of competition, this extreme challenge for man and machine is an incomparable human adventure.
For 40 years, the Dakar has brought together the leading rally riders and drivers, as well as amateur competitors. They come to fulfill their dream, to experience adventure and meet the biggest challenge of their life on a bike, on a quad, in a car or in a truck.
