The coronavirus turns both our social and professional existence upside down by reducing our daily life and the economy to a minimum. Measures are needed to prevent further rapid spread of the coronavirus. In order to be there for customers in emergencies, both production sites and PALFINGER service centres will remain in operation until further notice.

Digital, reliable and secure service help via Smart Eye

During the current corona crisis, PALFINGER is relying particularly on digital remote assistance solutions such as Smart Eye to protect both its customers and employees from infection with the corona virus.

The PALFINGER Smart Eye is a purely voice-controlled service tool with integrated camera, loudspeaker and display, with which services can be carried out with bidirectional live support. The hands-free and intuitive operation enables the Smart Eye user to identify the causes of problems, share knowledge in real time and solve service challenges efficiently and quickly.

Furthermore, service technicians can access all PALFINGER products equipped with the PALdiag diagnostic system and solve the problem from home.

Availability of spare parts ensured even during the crisis

The PALFINGER spare parts centre is still open to ensure that the required PALFINGER original spare parts are available as quickly as possible. Although the team is in home office, these circumstances do not prevent them from handling all customer requirements in the usual maintaining high quality and supplying them with a high availability of spare parts.

“Despite the current circumstances in Europe, our stock is secured and has been increased accordingly in order to be able to offer the best possible availability during this time as well. The shipment of spare parts is still guaranteed by our logistics service providers. This means we can continue to help our customers even in the case of severe machine failures,” explains Alexander Pittertschatscher, Head of Spare Parts Center EMEA.
